CrowdStrike & Fortinet partner to enhance cybersecurity
CrowdStrike and Fortinet have announced a strategic partnership to unify their respective endpoint and firewall protection solutions, enhancing cybersecurity across networks, applications, and endpoints.
The partnership will leverage AI-native endpoint security from CrowdStrike's Falcon cybersecurity platform and Fortinet's FortiGate next-generation firewalls to provide enhanced visibility, flexibility, and security. The combined solution aims to streamline operations with a single, unified view, enabling organisations to detect and respond to threats more effectively.
Jon Fox, Vice President of APJ Channel and Alliances at CrowdStrike, stated, "Today's announcement of CrowdStrike's strategic partnership with Fortinet brings together best-of-breed endpoint and firewall protection for customers and increased opportunities for partners. Organisations face a threat landscape that is constantly increasing in speed and sophistication, which is why a multi-layer approach to security is vital. With this integration between CrowdStrike and Fortinet, organisations gain critical telemetry data and visibility across their applications, endpoints, and networks - all in a streamlined single view - to help them stop breaches."
This integration is expected to deliver fast, accurate AI-powered threat protection and response capabilities, supported by robust telemetry across both network and endpoint security. The partnership will also provide context-rich insights into network traffic, user activity, and device posture, which strengthens the ability of security teams to mitigate risks with real-time protection against evolving threats.
CrowdStrike's Falcon platform is recognised for its AI-native and adversary intelligence capabilities, which have become the standard for endpoint security. Fortinet's FortiGate NGFWs, known for high performance and power efficiency, complement CrowdStrike's strengths by providing top-tier threat protection.
Jay McBain, Chief Analyst at Canalys, commented, "Two of cybersecurity's leading companies partnering, each with a world-class channel ecosystem, creates a powerful combination that benefits everyone involved. The CrowdStrike and Fortinet partnership is a win for customers, who gain access to a multi-layer network and endpoint security, and a win for partners, who now have even greater opportunities to deliver value and drive growth."
Earlier this year, CrowdStrike was recognised in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms as a leader for the fifth consecutive time. Fortinet has also been acknowledged multiple times in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Firewalls, underlining the industry's confidence in their solutions.
Justin Tibbs, Vice President of Cybersecurity at Presidio, remarked, "Presidio is committed to protecting global customers with the world's most advanced cybersecurity solutions. Today, that means best-of-breed technologies that seamlessly integrate and serve as a force multiplier to each other's capabilities, supercharging the security services provider toolkit. CrowdStrike and Fortinet are the validated leaders in their respective fields, and we're thrilled to offer this powerful combination of AI-native endpoint and next-generation firewall protection."
Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike, said, "Decisive strategy and execution from industry leaders to drive innovation is what benefits customers and delivers better security outcomes. CrowdStrike pioneered an AI-native platform to revolutionise endpoint security – Fortinet defines next-generation firewall protection and network security focused on performance and efficacy. Customers benefit from using us together, partners benefit from bringing us to market together, and this strategic partnership symbiotically advances both companies' expansion strategies. We look forward to our collaboration with Fortinet."
John Maddison, CMO and EVP of Products at Fortinet, added, "For nearly 25 years Fortinet has set the standard for the convergence of networking and security. By bolstering our partnership with CrowdStrike, we look forward to continued collaboration and innovation as we offer customers a joint solution that resonates at scale with all market segments globally – securing the Fortune 500 to SMBs, across networks, applications and endpoints."
