CrowdStrike onboards NEXTGEN as ANZ distribution partner
Mon, 11th Oct 2021
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Endpoint security provider CrowdStrike has selected NEXTGEN as its distribution partner for Australia and New Zealand.

NEXTGEN will be CrowdStrike's largest cybersecurity vendor. The two companies will work together to expand CrowdStrike's presence in the region across a broad security portfolio.

CrowdStrike has also grown rapidly since its establishment in 2011. The company's flagship threat platform, Falcon, is a single lightweight-agent architecture that leverages cloud-scale artificial intelligence (AI) and offers real-time protection and visibility across the enterprise, preventing attacks on endpoints and workloads on or off the network.

According to CrowdStrike vice president of alliances Asia Pacific and Japan, Geoff Swaine, the company provides value for its partner network through its partner ecosystem and long-standing relationships.

“We're seeing a significant number of partner-led deals secured with businesses of all sizes as a result.

Swaine adds, “NEXTGEN can help us to continue to expand our partner program. It is more than just a distributor. Alongside provisioning and finance services it offers market intelligence, sales execution, business advisory services, marketing support as well as the ability to showcase technology through its CyberLAB.

NEXTGEN's CyberLab is a specialised security offering that includes expertise, advisory services and proof-of-concept demonstrations. NEXTGEN Cyber is designed for vendors, partners and end customers. It includes a best-of-breed vendor portfolio for partners  to help partners sharpen their focus and differentiate their offering, boost revenue and increase their cybersecurity expertise. It also enables partners and managed security service providers (MSSP) to scale and grow their revenue, while supporting world-leading cybersecurity vendors so they can thrive within the IT security marketplace.

NEXTGEN Group CEO John Walters says the company has invested heavily in its cyber strategy over the last three years - in part to attract partners like CrowdStrike.

“In a short space of time, we have established a proven track record of taking vendors to market, making NEXTGEN Cyber the fastest growing part of the NEXTGEN Group with revenues now in excess of circa $100 million,” explains Walters.

CrowdStrike recognised NEXTGEN's capabilities in terms of its technology portfolio, cultural alignment, and technical capability.

  • Technical Capability – CrowdStrike brings cybersecurity solutions, while NEXTGEN offers a pioneering approach to technology services supporting the channel ecosystem through innovation initiatives such as CyberLAB (part of the Stratus Technical Centre of Excellence at NEXTGEN); along with a team full of technical experts providing a strong cybersecurity presence through its NEXTGEN Cyber team.
  • Technology Portfolio – NEXTGEN shares a relationship with Amazon Web Services, already works with Netskope and Okta - other key members of the Spectra Alliance - and boasts a strategic and complimentary vendor portfolio. This helps CrowdStrike with its partner go to market strategy.
  • Cultural Alignment – Both value diversity and integrity as important facets of their respective businesses supporting ex-military veterans as well as gender diversity.

For channel partners, NEXTGEN has created a one-stop-shop Partner Hub platform to keep all our existing and prospectus resellers updated across sales, technical and marketing support.
