Dell EMC adds new AI management solutions

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Dell EMC has released Ready Solutions for AI, a new offering for machine learning with Hadoop and deep learning with NVIDIA.

It simplifies AI environments to deliver deep insights fast, and help organisations make the most of AI technology.

“As the amount of data we produce continues to grow at a record pace, the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning is fundamentally changing the way businesses operate,” says Dell EMC ANZ infrastructure solutions senior director Jade Porter.

“With the Australian Federal government set to invest AU$29.9 million over the next four years, encouraging businesses to adopt this industry-changing technology, AI and ML need to be top of mind for the C-suite. However, we know that the uptake of AI in Australia is slow. This could be because IT teams are already at capacity and business leaders are nervous about investing in the unknown.

“It could also be down to the fact that consumers are wary about sharing their data. A business that wants to stay ahead of the competition and disrupt their industry, using fewer resources and less money, needs to overcome these challenges. The introduction of a comprehensive portfolio of AI-focused solutions helps business leaders embark on an AI project with the confidence that they are investing in a proven framework of best-of-breed products, ensuring security, scalability and business productivity.

According to Dell Technologies and VansonBourne's research, which included 3800 business leaders globally, nearly 80% of organisations will be investing in advanced AI technologies within the next five years.

The solutions include AI frameworks and libraries with compute, networking and storage, and allow organisations to reduce time to deployment as they will not have to source and piece together their own solutions.

Dell EMC also offers services including consulting, deployment, support and education to aid with adoption and optimisation of AI environments.

Consulting services can help customers implement and operationalise the solution technologies and AI libraries as well as scale data engineering and science capabilities.

The ProSupport service includes experts who can provide hardware and software support to help ensure optimal system performance and minimise downtime.

Customers can also opt for ProSupport Plus to get a technology service manager who provides a single point-of-contact for both hardware and software support.

Education services include courses and certifications in data science and advanced analytics, as well as workshops on machine learning in collaboration with NVIDIA.

The Dell EMC Ready Solutions will be rolling out in ANZ in the next 60 days. However, in NZ certain nodes will be substituted to support the node types available within locally.
