Endeavour, MYOB combine forces to tackle ERP market opportunity
MYOB has announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire the New Zealand Greentree practice of leading online ERP and business intelligence specialists, Endeavour Solutions.
This signals another significant step in MYOB's focus on its new mid-market direct sales and service channel, which will see Endeavour's Greentree specialists and customers join MYOB, bolstering the company's new enhanced Greentree experience, covering sales and support, customisation and product development.
The investment from MYOB will see Endeavour boost sales and support capability around MYOB's popular cloud ERP solution, MYOB Advanced Business.
"The team at Endeavour are obsessed with helping businesses do more and achieve more through ERP solutions," says MYOB general manager for enterprise, Kim Clarke.
"They have built a solid base of Greentree customers, and in recent years, used that experience to emerge as cloud ERP solutions and SaaS leaders in the mid-market," she says.
"Needless to say, we are truly excited about the possibilities that this next chapter will bring them, MYOB, and our very ambitious customers."
A Greentree partner since 1998, Endeavour is known for its ERP expertise and commitment to providing mid-market businesses with solutions that improve efficiency and pave the way for better innovation and smarter decision-making.
As well as being awarded MYOB Partner of the Year (NZ) for Greentree Excellence for three years consecutively (2016-2018), Endeavour was also recognised as MYOB Advanced Partner of the Year in 2019.
Endeavour Solutions Founding Director, Chris Miller, says that the acquisition is an excellent opportunity for Endeavour's Greentree customers to gain access to a direct line into MYOB and the ability to benefit from MYOB's recent investments in Greentree sales, operations and support.
"Over the years, we have built a strong business around our customers and our team, many of whom are longstanding on both sides, so it will be very difficult to see them go, but we firmly believe that this decision will deliver important benefits for all involved," he says.
"We are excited for our Greentree specialists to become part of MYOB's team who are dedicated to supporting Greentree customers while developing their careers, and we are energised by the prospect of focusing on taking more of our customers to the cloud and enabling them to prepare for the future."
Considering the opportunities ahead, chief executive of Endeavour Solutions, Tim Ryley, adds, "As we engage with new customers, we are seeing that almost all are seeking cloud and SaaS ERP solutions, and this investment will ensure that our team at Endeavour can focus on delivering business outcomes that enable their success.
"We are achieving rapid growth in our cloud-enabled mid-market customer base, and I'm confident that this growth will only accelerate from here," he says.
"In addition to being better positioned to offer rapid deployment models to our customers, we can also share best practices to enhance further the return they receive from their ERP investments."
Clarke adds that as Endeavour now focuses on increasing the growth of cloud platforms like MYOB Advanced, MYOB is thrilled to welcome more Greentree specialists and customers into the business.
"As we start the new year, we're looking forward to welcoming new team members and Greentree customers to the MYOB family and continuing our great relationship with Endeavour in enabling the ambitions of mid-market businesses across New Zealand," she says.
The transaction is expected to complete early next year.
