IGEL goes for (White) Gold with ANZ distie deal
IGEL Technology has appointed WhiteGold Solutions as a distributor in Australia and New Zealand.
The appointment reflects IGEL’s continued commitment to supporting and expanding its partner network and in increasing awareness and adoption of Thin/Zero Client and Virtual Desktop technologies across Australia and New Zealand.
“With the recent opening of IGEL’s new office in Australia, this appointment is a continuation of our commitment to providing choice, flexibility and the highest levels of service and support to our customers," says Alastair Welsh, IGEL South Asia General Manager.
"WhiteGold’s focus on Datacentre and Virtual Desktop solutions, coupled with their strong brand and extensive coverage across Australia and New Zealand, allows IGEL to focus on expanding our network of partners and quickly demonstrating the unique capabilities offered by IGEL to organisations considering Virtual Desktops.”
IGEL’s Universal Desktop range of thin and zero clients, based on Linux and Microsoft Windows, allows customers to access a broad spectrum of server-based infrastructures and applications.
IGEL also offers management software for deployment and administration of thin clients throughout any size organisation, as well as its Universal Desktop Converter software that allows customers to migrate existing PC or old thin client hardware to a fully-manageable IGEL thin client-like device.
“IGEL’s solutions have a proven worldwide track record in helping organisations to simplify and reduce desktop management time, whilst cutting electricity costs and extending hardware life cycles," adds Leigh Howard, Commercial Director, WhiteGold.
"The important addition of IGEL to our portfolio means that our resellers will be able to offer open and future-proof desktop solutions to their customers adopting cloud, virtual or server-based computing infrastructures.”
