Microsoft WPC Day 2 highlights
Highlights from Day 2 of Microsoft's WPC conference are out, Partnerships, Microsoft 365, Windows 10, Surface and Hololens.
Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of the cloud and enterprise group in Microsoft, says "Microsoft has always been, and always will be, a partner centric company. We're super proud to be able to partner with Rolls Royce, it's just a fantastic solution that's really transforming how airline aviation will work going forward."
"Schneider Electric is another great partner of ours who's using Azure, the Cortana Intelligence Suite and Power BI to deliver innovative energy management solutions all over the world," Guthrie adds.
Tim Campos, Facebook's CIO, addressed his audience in a video on why they chose Microsoft.
"The fact that Microsoft has pivoted towards building products in this way has made it an attractive partner for a company like Facebook," says Campos.
"You want to know the reason we chose Office 365? It's because of Microsoft. Microsoft got cool again."
Yusuf Medhi corporate vice president, Windows and Devices Group at Microsoft spoke about Microsoft 10 and Surface.
"The number one thing that we'll talk about with Windows 10 is getting that security nailed down for all of our customers," says Medhi.
"Today I'm pleased to announce that more folks are joining on board, IBM and Booz Allen Hamilton have also signed up," he continues.
"This coming world of mixed reality and what we're trying to drive here with Hololens," Medhi adds.
"Through the power of the intelligent cloud, Office 365 and Surface, we can make a positive change on our customers business and the transformation to the digital world."
