Ricoh launches A3 monochrome printers with cloud tools

Thu, 30th Apr 2026 (Today)

Ricoh USA has introduced a new range of A3 black-and-white multifunction printers under its RICOH IM Series.

The launch brings design elements from the company's colour A3 platform into its monochrome line.

The new models are the RICOH IM 2510, IM 3510, IM 4510, IM 5510, IM 6010 and IM 7010. They are aimed at a range of office workflows and support print output up to 12 x 18 inches.

Across the line-up, print speeds range from 25 to 70 pages per minute, while scan speeds reach up to 300 images per minute. Print and copy resolution is up to 1200 dpi.

The series introduces several changes from Ricoh's previous black-and-white A3 range, including a revised print engine, parts designed to last longer before replacement, and simpler configuration through shared finishing and paper-handling options.

It also adds Ricoh's latest Android-based Smart Operation Panel. The touch-based interface connects with cloud software and services.

The line-up now includes the IM 7010, a 70-page-per-minute model designed for heavier paper use and higher-volume environments. It expands the range at the top end for customers with larger print requirements.

Cloud services

Ricoh is positioning the devices as part of a broader document management set-up rather than as stand-alone office hardware. The series connects with optional cloud-based products for scanning, print management and fleet administration.

These include RICOH Smart Integration, which automates routine tasks such as preparing scanned documents and sending them to cloud storage services including Google Drive and SharePoint. The portfolio also includes RICOH CloudStream, a managed serverless platform for centralised control of device fleets across multiple locations.

For more complex environments, Ricoh highlighted RICOH Streamline NX for scan, print and device management, with OCR, reporting and analytics. It also pointed to RICOH Intelligent Managed Print Services, which combines automation, analytics and service support for print estates from multiple suppliers.

Security is another focus of the new line. The devices include Trusted Platform Module 2.0 for stronger encryption of stored passwords and keys, along with support for TLS 1.3 to protect data in transit.

Ricoh's Always Current Technology also allows automatic firmware and feature updates, helping customers keep devices protected against newer threats without replacing hardware.

Sustainability focus

Ricoh linked the launch to its broader environmental targets and product design approach. According to the company, the mainframes in the series use 50% post-consumer recycled content.

Packaging has also been revised, using 54% less single-use plastic, while the toner uses a low-melting-point formula intended to reduce energy consumption.

The launch comes as printer manufacturers continue to tie office hardware more closely to software, security and remote management, particularly for customers operating across multiple sites. For suppliers, that reflects a market in which print volumes may fluctuate but document workflows remain central to many administrative and regulated processes.

Ricoh said the black-and-white series mirrors key components and technology from its colour RICOH IM C Series, creating a more consistent A3 portfolio across monochrome and colour devices. That could also simplify procurement and servicing for customers standardising on a single platform.

Scott Dabice, Vice President, Commercial Strategy and Operations at Ricoh North America, said in a statement: "The launch of the RICOH IM Series reflects our passion to continuously reimagine what printers and MFPs can do for modern workplaces. By bringing advanced engine technology, seamless cloud connectivity, and long-term serviceability into one platform, we're giving businesses a smarter, more sustainable way to securely manage information across distributed environments. It's a strategic investment that strengthens their print performance today while preparing organizations for the digital workflows of tomorrow."
