FYI, this story is more than a year old

ShoreTel the IP phone systems and Unified Communications vendor has signed an established New Zealand reseller to on-sell its products.

Dunedin-based The Telephone Company is the next specialist company to join the growing list of ShoreTel resellers in the region. It intends to use established distributor Connect NZ to source the ShoreTel solution and by next quarter, plans to offer the solution itself.

Thanks to The Telephone Company’s 16-year history and strong reputation as a quality provider of telephony service and support, the agreement will provide additional opportunities for organisations in New Zealand to access ShoreTel’s award-winning IP telephony solutions.

There are many cost savings and business advantages to be had by using IP business communications. The Telephone Company specialises in the accounting, law, and business sectors in the Otago region and, after reviewing several other vendors, concluded that ShoreTel most closely aligned to its core values of customer satisfaction and product excellence.

Michael Smith, Senior Sales Manager for The Telephone Company said: “Local businesses want high-quality telephony, a low total cost of ownership, easy scalability and long-term productivity gains. ShoreTel leads the industry in these qualities. Partnering with ShoreTel enables us to offer a wide range of high-quality products and more specific design solutions for our current and prospective customers. We’re anticipating that this offering will help The Telephone Company grow significantly.”

ShoreTel’s Managing Director for Southeast Asia, Vasili Triant, said he believes the relationship with The Telephone Company will further expand ShoreTel’s share of the growing New Zealand market for telephony solutions.

“Becoming a ShoreTel reseller enables The Telephone Company to grow its business and sales platform for the future, and offer a telephony solution to New Zealand businesses that is purpose-built for IP, with the highest levels of customer satisfaction in the market,” he concluded.
