Splunk has reported second quarter results for the period ending June 30, 2010.

Splunk said it saw year-over-year bookings growth of 76% and added 220 new customers worldwide, including 40 in the Asia Pacific. Splunk says it has more than 1850 customers in 70 countries.

Robert Lau, Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan, said, “Splunk 4.1 is driving new levels of customer success, including business transaction tracing, complex pattern analysis for fraud and real-time web analytics.

"Our customers are expanding their use of Splunk beyond search and troubleshooting to enterprise-wide deployments, including application management, IT operations management, and security and compliance."

In Asia Pacific, key wins included Fairfax Digital, Gen-i, Unisuper, Corporate Express and Realestate.com.au of Australia, the National Policy Agency of Taiwan, NTUC Income, the largest insurance company in Singapore, and the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi.
