WatchGuard signs eight new partners
Company reports increased sales in Australia and New Zealand by 54% for the first quarter of 2010 compared to the same period in 2009.
The firm has attributed the growth to "a raft of new sales wins secured in the state government, private education, utilities and manufacturing sectors". Eight new partners have also been signed up recently in Victoria and New South Wales including Technetics, Advanced Vision Technologies, Hands-On Systems and Mobile Computer Services.
Scott Robertson, ANZ Regional Director, said, “The March quarter has been a strong start to 2010 not only in terms of revenue but also in the heightened interest for our new XTM 2, 5 and 8 Series as well as the new XCS line of enterprise-class multi-function firewall appliances.
“These new product lines offer market leading network security, mail and content security and data leakage prevention taking WatchGuard beyond being a pure network security provider into a business security company providing a breadth of security technologies.” He added, "We look forward to continuing to focus upon delivering exceptional products and support while maintaining our relationships in the channel in 2010.”
WatchGuard recently launched a Quarantine Management Server that the company said bolsters its family of extensible content security to give businesses additional protection against spam, phishing and malware-laden messages.
