Windows Vista channel readiness guide

01 Aug 2006

This guide is designed to help you make the most of the opportunities that Microsoft’s new operating system presents. This three-part series takes an in-depth look at Windows Vista from a channel perspective and highlights significant new features of this next generation platform.  The Channel has worked closely with Microsoft NZ to provide you with an insight into Windows Vista – making this the official partner Windows Vista readiness guide for the New Zealand channel. In each edition we will include in-depth interviews with Microsoft NZ people providing you with relevant and timely information as you prepare for Vista.

As the largest Microsoft technology release in a decade Windows Vista offers significant potential for partners to stimulate customer purchases of software and hardware and to provide expertise and advice through value added services. With the release of Windows Vista nearly here, the opportunities for the channel to generate additional revenue through upgrade and migration sales are growing larger every day. To help partners prepare for this launch Microsoft will be running a comprehensive partner training programme in September, ensuring you’re aware of the key features and specifications of this next generation operating system.
