Acer has unveiled its latest additions to the Predator Helios Neo portfolio, introducing the Predator Helios Neo 16 AI and Predator Helios Neo 18 AI gaming laptops.

The laptops are equipped with the new Intel Core Ultra 200HX Series processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs, aimed at enhancing AI capabilities for gaming enthusiasts. The Predator Helios Neo AI series focuses on affordability while incorporating essential components for high performance.

The new gaming laptops are designed with next-generation NVIDIA technology. "Powered by NVIDIA Blackwell, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs bring game-changing capabilities to gamers and creators," Acer stated. "Equipped with a massive level of AI horsepower, the RTX 50 Series enables new experiences and next-level graphics fidelity."

NVIDIA DLSS 4 technology is a highlight, offering image generation at increased speeds and expanding creative capabilities with NVIDIA Studio. NVIDIA NIM microservices provide AI models for building AI-driven applications, optimising the system's capabilities.

Display options for these models offer significant enhancements. The Predator Helios Neo 16 AI features an OLED panel option while the Helios Neo 18 AI includes a Mini LED display. Cooling is managed by 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans, paired with liquid metal thermal grease and Vector Heat Pipes, promoting efficient thermal management and consistent performance.

The models come pre-installed with Windows 11 and include three months of PC Game Pass. This service offers early access to major releases like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and other titles.

Acer has indicated that the Predator Helios Neo 16 AI is targeted at mobile gamers and professionals, whereas the Helios Neo 18 AI is aimed as a desktop replacement. Both laptops offer the latest technology with a minimalistic design, highlighted by an RGB logo on the lid and programmable RGB keyboards.

Performance is a key aspect with these devices. Both models can host up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor. Acer noted, "The Predator Helios Neo laptops are extremely powerful, offering up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor that ensures ultra-smooth and responsive gameplay." This is augmented by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU.

The laptops support up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory and up to 2 TB of storage. Networking capabilities are bolstered with Intel Killer Ethernet E3100G and Wi-Fi 6E, ensuring fast and stable connectivity.

The display technology incorporated into these laptops enhances visual fidelity. Both models support NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, and MUX Switch, contributing to detailed and responsive gameplay experiences.

Optimised gaming is supported by Acer's PredatorSense 5.0 utility app, which incorporates various AI-enhanced features. These include Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 with noise reduction and Acer PurifiedView 2.0 for high-quality video outputs.

The Predator Helios Neo 16 AI and Helios Neo 18 AI are scheduled to be available in Australia from the third quarter of 2025, though local pricing is yet to be disclosed. Specifications and prices may vary across different regions as Acer continues to expand its portfolio globally.
