FYI, this story is more than a year old
D-Link A/NZ has launched its new DCS-8600LH Full HD Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera.
The camera has new features and functionality within the updated mydlink app, such as cloud recording, two-way audio via an in-built speaker and microphone, and integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
It has been specifically designed for smart home functionality, including integrating voice control features.
- 135-degree wide-angle field of view
- IP65 waterproof housing
- Operating temperature range from -25 to 45 degrees Celsius
- 7 metres night vision
- Two-way audio with built-in microphone and speaker
- Motion detection and cloud recording
- Works with the Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and IFTTT
“D-Link customers are increasingly using smart home devices via voice control,” D-Link A/NZ managing director Graeme Reardon says.
“As we continue to innovate, our products’ compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant are a priority for D-Link.”
The DCS-8600LH includes a wide-angle lens that can capture a backyard, or an entire room, wall-to-wall, in 1080p.
It includes built-in infrared LEDs that allow up to 7 meters of night time viewing and motion and sound detection that will send notifications to the mydlink app.
The rotatable head makes discrete installations easy and wireless connectivity keeps cabling to a minimum.
It also has an IP65 rating, which means it can withstand most outdoor weather environments on cold, wet or hot days.
Automatically record snapshots and video clips to a microSD card, or with a mydlink cloud recording subscription, then playback recordings from the cloud or download video clips to your mobile device through the Internet.
Access real-time live views of your cameras using the mobile app and set customised and automated recording schedules via your mobile device.
