FYI, this story is more than a year old

Datacom, Ingram Micro and Dimension Data New Zealand are among the winners at last night's Veeam ANZ ProPartner Awards.

Datacom Group picked up the award for ANZ ProPartner of the Year, while Ingram Micro was named ANZ Distributor of the Year.

FlexData Solutions was named Veeam's ANZ Rising Star ProPartner of the Year, with Dimension Data New Zealand scooping up Enterprise ProPartner of the Year.

Individual awards went to Rhys Hammond, who was previously with Computer Merchants but has now moved to Data#3, and The Somerville Group's Scott McGregor, who both picked up ANZ Technical Champion of the Year awards.

On the fast growing cloud side, Nexon Asia Pacific claimed the top Australia Cloud and Service Provider of the Year award, while OneNet took home the New Zealand Cloud and Service Provider award.

Peter Bender, Veeam ANZ head of channel and alliances, and Don Williams, Veeam ANZ vice president, both noted the importance of partners for the company.

“To say that Veeam's success is tied to our ProPartner's success is an understatement,” Williams says. “The relationship is completely symbiotic.

Williams says each category received a high number of nominations from Veeam's channel partner managers.

“Each of the winners should feel incredibly proud of their achievements,” he adds.

“They highlight a commitment to embracing Veeam's value proposition – both sales and technical through building professional services capabilities and moving from just licensing to being a value add solutions provider to our joint customers.

Bender says the awards are a tribute to the vendor's top-tier and mid-tier partner for their commitment in consistently over-achieving revenue targets.

“We believe this is a result of businesses recognising the requirements for maintaining an always-on enterprise which can only be achieved by Veeam's availability solutions,” Bender says.

He says ProPartners experienced ‘record breaking growth' last year on the back of enhancements introduced to Veeam's ProPartner Program, new Veeam Cloud Connect capabilities and investments the company has made to its ProPartner Program.
