Tue, 20th Aug 2024

More than half of Australia's secondary schools now have a modern learning interface following the launch of a refreshed learning experience by Education Perfect (EP). The updated platform is designed to foster student agency and enhance educational outcomes.

The new interface has been developed in consultation with teachers and students to ensure a user-friendly experience facilitating over 1.4 million students across more than 2,500 schools worldwide. Key updates include a new navigation system, scoreboards, learning records, customisation options, in-depth assessment and reporting recommendations, mobile compatibility, and improved accessibility features.

Jonathan Morgan, CEO of Education Perfect, remarked: "Education Perfect was initially developed by and with teachers with a view towards creating a complete digital toolkit that integrates seamlessly within the much larger context of the education landscape. By refreshing the platform, students will have a more comprehensive and seamless learning experience, which we believe will help improve overall engagement and agency, and increase student outcomes."

The refreshed platform boasts features such as a modern, intuitive dashboard layout for better navigation and accessibility, individual and class scoreboards to promote healthy competition and track progress, independent content browsing, and a learning record on the dashboard for a clear overview of student achievements and goals. These enhancements are aimed at boosting student engagement and making learning materials more accessible, particularly for students with special needs.

The timing of the platform's launch coincides with EP receiving an updated B-Corp score of 103.3, reflecting an 18% increase since the company first became certified in 2020. The updated certification underscores Education Perfect's commitment to maximising students' potential while creating positive outcomes for workers, customers, and the community at large. EP's Impact Business Model received a perfect score, highlighting the company's concerted efforts to balance its for-profit objectives with social and environmental considerations.

EP's initiative reflects a broader trend in integrating digital tools into education, aiming for a more personalised and accessible learning environment. Such advancements are increasingly vital as schools continue to adapt to the evolving educational landscape and the demands of 21st-century learning.

Education Perfect's update comes at a crucial time when educational institutions are seeking innovative ways to engage students and improve learning outcomes. The integration of new technology is expected to provide teachers with enhanced tools to monitor students' progress and tailor education to meet individual needs, thereby contributing to a more effective and inclusive educational framework.

The platform's modernisation marks a significant step toward enhancing digital learning environments, providing students with the means to take greater control of their education. By focusing on accessibility and personalisation, Education Perfect aims to break down barriers to learning and ensure that more students can thrive academically.

Education Perfect continues to advance its mission, leveraging technology to create a more equitable and effective educational system, helping over 1.4 million students across 2,500 schools globally navigate and succeed in their educational journeys.
