EMC launches 'campaign-in-a-box' initiative

Data recovery, cloud computing and storage hardware providers EMC have launched a new, lead-generating reseller initiative, campaign-in-a-box.

Designed by ICT marketing specialists, Green Hat, and targeted at SMBs, campaign-in-a-box is a free-to-reseller program that canvases potential customers, provides them with basic product information, and even enters them in a competition to win prizes valued at $5000.

Initial contact is made via a rented database, which can be targeted by segment and geography. Following this is specialised telemarketing, with professionals canvassing potential customers to gain their permission to send information such as White Papers and videos.

Local EMC distributors Datastor nominated kiwi resellers Think IT as one of the first partners to try campaign-in-a-box, and the company’s sales manager, John Way, says it has produced quality leads.

"The establishment process was thorough,” Way says.

"Green Hat sent us a four-page questionnaire about us and our expectations for the campaign, they maintained good contact... it gave me a good feeling about the quality of the campaign.”
