Fortinet FortiSASE earns top AAA rating from CyberRatings

Fortinet's security service edge offering, FortiSASE, has been awarded a "AAA" rating by CyberRatings.org, the only independent third-party cybersecurity testing nonprofit.

FortiSASE received high scores in all four test categories, indicating robust cloud-delivered security while ensuring efficient network performance. These test categories include exploits, malware, evasions, and transport layer security (TLS)/secure sockets layer (SSL) functionality.

During the CyberRatings assessments, FortiSASE achieved a perfect score of 100 percent in the evasion category. It also obtained near-perfect scores of 99.02 percent and 99.5 percent in the exploit and malware categories, respectively. FortiSASE utilises AI-powered threat intelligence, sandboxing, and behavioural analysis to identify and block advanced attacks.

In terms of TLS/SSL functionality, FortiSASE demonstrated full compatibility and decryption capabilities with common configurations, including TLS 1.2 and 1.3 cipher suites. This enables secure communication and inspection of encrypted traffic to prevent data leakage and identify threats without requiring complex configurations.

Performance-wise, FortiSASE maintained minimal impact on network throughput, even under heavy load conditions for both HTTP and HTTPS traffic. This is made possible through high-performance hardware and optimised software architecture, ensuring low-latency and high-throughput operations without compromising user experience.

FortiSASE provides secure access to websites and applications for users and devices by offering comprehensive cloud-delivered security services. These include Firewall-as-a-Service, secure web gateway, cloud access security broker, universal zero-trust network access, and FortiGuard AI-powered security services. As part of the Fortinet Security Fabric, FortiSASE is built on the FortiOS platform and integrates seamlessly with Fortinet Secure SD-WAN to offer a unified SASE solution.

Additionally, Fortinet was recognised as a Challenger in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for SSE and received a mention in the 2024 Gartner Peer Insights Customer Choice for SSE. These recognitions are considered indicative of the strength and efficacy of FortiSASE.
