Gary Bigwood, Managing Director for New Zealand’s largest distributor, Ingram Micro, has categorically denied that the company has any plans to sell direct to end users.

Vendor speculation that end users would be able to buy from the company's online store, even for the RRP, are “total fabrication” Bigwood told The Channel today.

“We have no plans to sell directly at all and remain 100% channel focused. It’s never going to happen,” he said.

Ingram Micro sells to around 170,000 technology solution providers in more than 100 countries. The company specialises in three market segments: commercial, consumer and value-added resellers.
