Kaseya launches IDaaS to help MSPs capture 'explosive' market
Mon, 9th May 2016
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Kaseya has launched its cloud-based identity and access management solution for managed service providers, saying the offering allows MSPs to capture an ‘explosive' market opportunity.

The launch of AuthAnvil On-Demand follows a Kaseya MSP survey earlier this year which showed MSPs consider security services as a key competitive advantage, enabling them to address clients' number one concern of heightened security risks.

Mike Puglia, Kaseya chief product officer, says the identity-as-a-service market is expected to double over the next two years, representing an area of ‘explosive' growth.

“AuthAnvil On-Demand empowers MSPs to capture this opportunity and rapidly build and deploy profitable service offerings in the end-user security space,” Puglia says.

AuthAnvil includes what Kaseya says is the ‘first and only' universal directory, enabling MSPs to manage all customer IAM needs ‘in a comprehensive, standard and consistent fashion while seamlessly supporting the broad mix of directory management technologies deployed in their customer base'.

The offering runs on Microsoft's Azure cloud, enabling it to be compliant with standards including ISO 27001, SOC1 and SOC2.

The IT management solutions vendor says MSPs can use AuthAnvil On-Demand to add standalone custom branded IdaaS service offerings including best-in-class multifactor authenticaion, password management and single sign-on for cloud services such as Salesforce.com, Dropbox and Office 265, along with on-premise applications such as SharePoint, Exchange and Microsoft Dynamics.

MSPs  can also use the offering to create user based security offerings incorporating IdaaS, antivirus, anti-malware and cloud-based backup from Kaseya's portfolio.

AuthAnvil can also be used to harden the security of an MSP's internal client operations centre by restricting access to client management tools, strengthening and protecting client passwords and terminating access privileges for former employees immediately.
