Mandiant has appointed Westcon-Comstor as its distributor in New Zealand in order to enhance channel growth and provide better solutions to customers.

Westcon-Comstor says that Mandiant's consulting portfolio is enhanced by its vendor-independent approach and bolstered by technology partnerships with other cyber security vendors. These include notable names in the security industry, with strategic partners including CrowdStrike, Microsoft, SentinelOne, Splunk and Trellix.

The company says the new strategy ensures Mandiant is well positioned to support partner ecosystems by augmenting the capability and maturity of existing security offerings and solutions. In doing so, Mandiant will continue to elevate its channel-first market strategy.

“Through Westcon and Mandiant, our partners will be able to offer their customers an augmented security service by accessing threat intelligence solutions and expertise from Mandiant in addition to traditional security products, thereby extending confidence to their end user customers of their readiness to defend against cyber threats,” says Westcon-Comstor NZ national sales director Simon Goode.

“Westcon has a leading security vendor portfolio that maps to our vision to shape the future of distribution. Mandiant is recognised by enterprises, governments and law enforcement agencies worldwide as the market leader in threat intelligence, with expertise gained on the frontlines of cyber security.

Mandiant ANZ MD and VP Louis Tague says that the partnership is an excellent opportunity to provide better solutions to security partners on a wider scale, with innovation and collaboration as key motives.

“The appointment of Westcon as our distributor in New Zealand reaffirms our commitment to the region and allows us to connect more deeply with security partners and customers that are motivated to adopt Mandiant's innovative and globally leading solutions,” he says.

Goode continued by saying that Mandiant has a successful track record as a reliable vendor and that they will significantly enhance the Westcon portfolio.

“We know a vendor with the reputation of Mandiant doesn't put their trust in the hands of any distributor without doing their due diligence and the Westcon Comstor New Zealand team are excited to promote Mandiant to our partners,” he says.

“Part of our ‘Partner Success' strategy is ensuring we remain dynamic and increase our value to partners through relevant vendor solutions. Mandiant is a great addition to the Westcon Security portfolio.

Westcon-Comstor currently operates in more than 70 countries and goes to market through both the Westcon and Comstor lines of business. Mandiant has been providing security solutions to partners since 2004.
