FYI, this story is more than a year old

Partnerships are a massive part of Veeam's strategy - not just channel partners, although being 100% channel that aspect is huge, but also the alliance partners with whom they are creating new solutions and go to markets every day.

Here's a quick rundown of the major exhibitors and just what they are doing to make the most of their partnerships with Veeam.

Microsoft is an important alliance partner for Veeam's strategy of moving into the enterprise space. Integration with Azure Stack and the Azure Data Box are just two of the benefits the partnership has produced so far.

VMware has been an integral part of Veeam's strategy since day one, inspiring the founder's move into the virtualisation market. Together, they are now focused on expanding their relationship to support the always-on expectations of the current market.

IBM is a recent partner for Veeam, bringing them aboard to provide backup and recovery solutions for any user of IBM Cloud.

Pure Storage and Veeam are both companies that work toward simplification of storage and eliminating challenges with legacy offerings. Pure has developed API integrations with Veeam to support their backup and recovery suite.

Cisco is not just an alliance partner but also a reseller, going so far as to have Veeam pricing in their catalogue. Together, they have developed the HyperFlex offering, which is designed to transform the data center with hyper-convergence.

NetApp has added Veeam integration to its ONTAP offering in order to make the most of the backup and recovery aspect of the software as well as intelligent data management.

Nutanix and Veeam have come together to create simplified and modernised data centers and always-on enterprise. Both focus on simple operations and data protection so that users can focus on running applications.

Ingram Micro has been with Veeam since day one. For the past two years, Ingram has taken Veeam Distributor of the Year. Working with the Veeam ProPartner programme, Ingram is responsible for around 65-70% of Veeam sales in the USA, and are also a major distributor in ANZ
