Westcon-Comstor gains exclusive VMware distribution rights

Westcon-Comstor New Zealand has secured the position of exclusive distributor of VMware by Broadcom products throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

This new arrangement combines Westcon-Comstor's well-established partner network with the technological capabilities of VMware to deliver a variety of solutions encompassing infrastructure, security, networking, and cloud. At the forefront of this portfolio is VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), a private cloud platform designed to integrate and unify disparate IT systems.

Having been a partner with Broadcom for more than two decades, Westcon-Comstor continues to endorse its dedication to bringing advanced technological solutions to market. This latest initiative is poised to enhance the technology framework in New Zealand, offering businesses increased access to VMware's advanced solutions along with Westcon-Comstor's extensive data and industry expertise.

Broadcom has expressed optimism regarding the potential this partnership holds for the New Zealand market. In the previous fiscal year, Westcon-Comstor New Zealand reported a revenue increase from NZD $178.4 million to NZD $198 million, while profit after tax rose from NZD $2.2 million to NZD $5.9 million. These financial results for FY24 position the company well for continued growth.
