Wipro partners with CrowdStrike to boost AI-driven cyber security

Today

CrowdStrike has entered into a strategic partnership with Wipro to deliver security operations using the CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM solution.

The collaboration will see Wipro's CyberShield platform enhanced with the integration of CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, providing modernised security operations and AI-driven threat detection and response. With the use of first-party data natively within the Falcon platform, Wipro aims to offer accelerated value, reduced total cost of ownership and improved cybersecurity outcomes for global enterprises.

The two companies have highlighted several benefits resulting from this partnership. The Falcon Next-Gen SIEM platform enables real-time threat detection and response, while lowering total cost of ownership and supporting greater efficiency. The cloud-native architecture of the solution allows for seamless scalability, and the continuous 24x7 security operations are designed to enhance analyst productivity and streamline overall operations.

Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike, commented: "Innovative partners like Wipro selecting Falcon Next-Gen SIEM to power their managed services practices underscores CrowdStrike's competitive advantages over both legacy and modern alternatives. Together we're redefining security operations, combining AI-driven security analytics with world-class expertise to scale machine-speed threat detection and response across the enterprise."

CrowdStrike and Wipro are positioning their partnership as a response to the growing complexity of cybersecurity and the increasing skills gap impacting organisations globally. The SIEM sector is traditionally seen as a foundational element of security operations, but many older solutions face limitations such as slow data ingestion, high costs, and complex workflows. The Falcon Next-Gen SIEM aims to address these challenges through the combination of native and third-party data, advanced artificial intelligence, and workflow automation, seeking to deliver faster threat detection and reduced operational complexity.

In addition to the technology integration, Wipro will leverage its advisory solutions and managed services to provide clients with AI-supported cybersecurity capabilities. This is intended to increase business agility and help enterprises secure their operations by utilising the combined knowledge of cybersecurity professionals and industry partners.

Tony Buffomante, Senior Vice President & Global Head – Cybersecurity & Risk Services at Wipro, stated: "Today's evolving threat landscape requires security solutions that are not just fast and scalable but purpose-built for modern cyber defences. Migrating our MSSP customer base to CrowdStrike's next-gen SIEM allows us to accelerate the shift from outdated, complex SIEMs to a modern, AI-powered SOC. Our deep expertise in seamless migrations ensures that customers can quickly unlock the full potential of enhanced automation, real-time threat detection and a streamlined SOC as they improve security outcomes and reduce operational burdens."

The key advantages highlighted by the companies for enterprises adopting Wipro's managed security services platform with Falcon Next-Gen SIEM include improved cyber resilience, the ability to secure operations across multiple environments, and the reduction of response times. The GenAI-powered automated security operations centre and processes aim to identify threats before they can impact organisations. The platform's index-free, cloud-native design is intended to provide high-speed performance on a large scale while avoiding the costs and complexities associated with traditional SIEM systems.

Wipro's global Cyber Defense Centres will play a role in delivering round-the-clock monitoring, advanced threat intelligence, and tailored incident response services. The use of AI and automation within the platform also seeks to reduce analyst workload, streamline workflows and enable more accurate and faster investigations, with the goal of improving both productivity and the overall effectiveness of security operations.

Through the partnership, both companies underscore their intention to assist organisations in transitioning away from legacy security information and event management solutions, deploying platforms that are designed for contemporary cyber defence requirements and operational agility.
