Alienware has unveiled four new gaming monitors at Computex, including a 39-inch 5K OLED flagship display.

The line-up also includes an updated 34-inch QD-OLED ultrawide monitor and two 240Hz QHD curved LCD models at lower price points.

Flagship display

The flagship AW3926QW uses a 39-inch 5K panel with a 1500R curve and a dual-mode refresh rate, allowing users to switch between 165Hz at 5K resolution and 330Hz at Full HD. The display uses RGB stripe tandem OLED technology and reaches peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits, according to Alienware.

It also includes Dolby Vision, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500, DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 with eARC, USB-C with 90W power delivery, and a built-in KVM switch. Alienware said it has added pixel management measures and is offering three-year burn-in cover.

OLED update

The second OLED monitor in the line-up is the AW3426DW, a 34-inch ultrawide model that builds on Alienware's earlier QD-OLED display. The updated version raises the refresh rate to 280Hz from 240Hz while retaining a 0.03ms grey-to-grey response time.

The display uses a five-stack design intended to improve energy distribution, brightness, and lifespan. It also has a revised anti-reflective coating that cuts glare by 30% in brighter rooms, according to Alienware.

LCD options

Alienware is positioning the two LCD models as more accessible options in the range. The AW3426DWM is a 34-inch ultrawide monitor with a 3440 x 1440 WQHD VA panel and a 1500R curve, while the AW3226DM has a 32-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD VA screen.

Both LCD displays run at 240Hz and have a 1ms grey-to-grey response time. They also support AMD FreeSync Premium, VESA AdaptiveSync, Dolby Vision, and VESA DisplayHDR 400, according to Alienware.

Broader push

The launch comes as monitor makers try to broaden the appeal of large-format gaming displays across both OLED and LCD categories. Alienware has split its line-up between a top-end OLED model, a refreshed ultrawide OLED, and two lower-cost curved LCD alternatives.

Alienware said the monitors reflect market shifts towards brighter OLED screens, higher refresh rates, and premium features appearing beyond top-tier devices. The two LCD models also include TUV-certified low blue light hardware and share the design approach used across the range, including a compact base and cable management.

The announcement also forms part of Alienware's 30th anniversary. The company linked the new displays to its long-running focus on gaming hardware while emphasising both the premium and more affordable parts of the monitor market.

"In 1996, two friends in a Miami garage believed gamers deserved better hardware than what existed. Thirty years later, that belief is still what drives every display we build, from the most ambitious OLED flagship we've ever made to monitors that bring premium performance within reach of more gamers."
