Bitglass fuels ANZ momentum with two executive appointments
Bitglass has announced the appointment of Brendon Thwaites as Asia Pacific and Japan director of channels and alliances, and Wayne Phillips as ANZ head of systems engineering.
Thwaites is responsible for developing and maturing the Bitglass channel in line with the company's growth strategies across the region.
Focusing first on Australia and New Zealand, Thwaites will drive the creation of new partner opportunities and programs that will help build momentum within the company's target enterprise and commercial markets.
Thwaites joins Bitglass with more than 15 years experience in channel development.
He previously held management positions at Palo Alto Networks as the ANZ channel head, and most recently as the APAC distribution director.
Thwaites also worked at F5 Networks Australia ANZ mid-market and alliances director following his initial position with the company as channel and distribution manager.
Based in Sydney, the ANZ head of systems engineering appointee Wayne Phillips will lead the company's pre-sales effort, responsible for designing cloud security solutions and providing technical support for customer deployments of the Bitglass' cloud access security broker (CASB) technology.
In addition, Phillips will drive the technical enablement of Bitglass channel partners.
Phillips joins Bitglass with more than 20 years' experience in the industry and was previously technical director at Matrix42 AG where he was responsible for the technical direction and leadership of Matrix42's mobile and security technology and services.
Prior, he worked for three years as chief technology officer at Silverback MDM and held several roles at Airloom, including director of security - services and mobility services manager where he designed and productised enterprise mobility solutions.
