Citrix has this week announced the appointment of Keith Buckley to the role of area vice president for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

Buckley will report to Colin Brookes, senior vice president of sales and services for Asia Pacific and Japan, Citrix.

Based in Sydney, he will be responsible for driving Citrix's 2020 ambitions to boost employee experiences through intelligent workspaces, and delivering consistent growth across all sectors in both markets.

Buckley brings a wealth of leadership experience and knowledge of cloud, security and the channel, having held senior operational and sales positions at Riverbed, McAfee, Symantec and Dell. He succeeds Erin Butler, who will return home to the United States to pursue a new opportunity as customer success for the America's East region with Citrix.

“As a business, we strive to support organisations in Australia and New Zealand to stamp out workplace complexity and unlock employee productivity and creativity," says Colin Brookes, senior vice president of sales and service, Asia Pacific and Japan, Citrix.

"I am confident in Keith's leadership to help Citrix achieve these ambitions and we're delighted to have him on board," he says.

“We also thank Erin Butler for the leadership and passion she has brought to the Australian and New Zealand team over the past 12 months. We will always find ways to keep great talent within Citrix and we wish her all the best as she returns home to a new role with us.

Buckley comments, “I am thrilled to join Citrix at a time when traditional approaches to business productivity are being challenged and rewritten, Citrix will remain at the forefront of conversations about better ways of working that meet the needs of both business leaders and employees.

“I look forward to working with the Citrix team and meeting our partners and customers over the coming months, to understand how we can bring our extensive knowledge and experience to industries in Australia and New Zealand in 2020 and beyond," he says.

Citrix also announced the appointment of Kathy Chen as the new vice president of channel for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) this week. She will report to Bronwyn Hastings, senior vice president of Worldwide Partner Sales at Citrix, and will be responsible for the Citrix partner ecosystem in the Asia Pacific and Japan region; overseeing the growth of the channel business and driving value for our partners in the region.
