CrowdStrike names Jonathon Dixon to lead JAPAC growth

Wed, 11th Feb 2026

CrowdStrike has appointed Jonathon Dixon as Vice President and Managing Director for Japan and Asia Pacific, putting a long-time regional executive in charge of strategy across what it describes as a key growth market.

Dixon will lead the Japan and Asia Pacific theatre (JAPAC), overseeing sales execution, regional operations and partner activity across markets including Japan and major Asia-Pacific economies.

CrowdStrike sells the Falcon platform, a cloud-based cyber security suite spanning endpoint security, cloud workload protection, identity and data. It markets the platform around the use of artificial intelligence and automation in detection and response.

Dixon brings more than 25 years of experience in cyber security and IT roles across the region. Most recently, he held regional leadership roles at Verkada and Cloudflare, and previously served in senior positions at AWS, Cisco and IBM.

At Verkada, he was Vice President and Managing Director of Japan and Asia-Pacific, leading go-to-market and operations. Verkada said he expanded its market presence across the region.

Before that, Dixon was Vice President and Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China at Cloudflare. During his tenure, CrowdStrike said, the region became Cloudflare's fastest-growing theatre. He has also led multi-billion-dollar business segments at larger technology groups.

Regional focus

The appointment comes as cyber security suppliers sharpen their focus on Japan and Asia Pacific. Regulatory requirements, digitisation programmes and rising ransomware activity continue to shape spending priorities, while organisations face pressure to manage risk across hybrid infrastructure, cloud services and remote endpoints.

CrowdStrike has been building its presence in the region through direct sales teams and channel partners. It positions JAPAC as a market where organisations are reassessing security tooling and vendor consolidation.

Michael Sentonas, President of CrowdStrike, said Dixon's local knowledge and experience scaling teams made him a strong fit for the role.

"We are pleased to welcome Jonathon as we continue to build momentum across JAPAC. He brings a rare mix of regional insight and experience scaling businesses, which will be critical to our continued growth in the region."

Sentonas also linked the appointment to changing customer demand tied to artificial intelligence and evolving threats.

"JAPAC is an important growth theater as organizations modernize their security for the AI era. Under Jonathon's leadership, we will continue to expand our presence across the region and support more organizations in strengthening their security posture, as traditional approaches struggle to keep pace with today's threat landscape," he said.

Platform push

Dixon will focus on increasing adoption of the Falcon platform, which CrowdStrike describes as part of a broader shift towards AI-powered cyber security. The company has emphasised the use of data collected across customer environments to identify threats and automate response actions.

Falcon uses a single-agent architecture, according to CrowdStrike, and draws on telemetry and threat intelligence to generate alerts and remediation actions. CrowdStrike also sells managed threat hunting and vulnerability-related services as part of its broader portfolio.

Dixon said he sees the role as an opportunity to work with regional customers facing a fast-changing risk environment.

"CrowdStrike is leading cybersecurity in the AI era, delivering the game-changing technology that organizations throughout JAPAC need to secure a rapidly evolving threat landscape," he said.

He also pointed to the company's positioning around an AI-native approach to platform security.

"I am thrilled to be joining CrowdStrike as the company continues to revolutionize cybersecurity and define AI-native platform protection," he said.

CrowdStrike is listed on Nasdaq under the ticker CRWD. It competes with a range of endpoint and platform security suppliers, as well as network-focused and cloud security providers that have expanded into adjacent categories.

Dixon's appointment signals continued investment in regional leadership as CrowdStrike expands sales coverage and its partner ecosystem across Japan and Asia Pacific.
