Datadobi names Daniel Esposito VP to drive alliances

Wed, 14th Jan 2026

Datadobi has promoted Daniel Esposito to Vice President of Global Alliances as it expands its partner strategy around unstructured data management and data governance.

The company said Esposito will build a global network of service partners that work across storage vendors and cloud providers. Datadobi framed the move around rising demand from enterprises dealing with data growth, AI adoption and compliance requirements.

Datadobi sells StorageMAP, an unstructured data management platform. The company positions the platform around data mobility and governance for large organisations.

Partner push

Datadobi said it wants to grow a services-led partner ecosystem rather than rely mainly on traditional vendor relationships. The company cited a need for partners that can design and deliver deployments, alongside ongoing management.

"The opportunity is clear: enterprises need data management capabilities that neither storage vendors nor hyperscalers fully address," said Michael Jack, Chief Revenue Officer, Datadobi. "But this market won't build itself. It requires service partners with deep expertise who can design solutions, not just move boxes. Daniel's promotion reflects our commitment to finding and empowering those strategic partners-building an ecosystem where none existed before."

Datadobi described the target group as systems integrators, managed service providers and specialist consultancies. It linked that approach to complex projects where organisations restructure data estates, migrate data between environments or respond to governance demands.

New remit

Esposito joined Datadobi more than nine years ago as Director of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development. The company said he helped establish the partner strategy and expanded relationships beyond original equipment manufacturer arrangements.

His new role includes oversight of the global alliances team and responsibility for partner enablement programmes. Datadobi said it plans to equip service partners with technical and sales skills linked to StorageMAP deployments.

Esposito said the focus will sit with longer-term relationships rather than one-off referrals. "This isn't about transactional partnerships-it's about building a category," said Daniel Esposito, Vice President of Global Alliances, Datadobi. "We're looking for partners who see the same opportunity we do: a massive gap between what enterprises need for unstructured data management and what's available today. My focus is on recruiting, enabling, and growing partners who can help customers solve problems that storage arrays and cloud buckets alone can't address. That requires investing in the right people, training, and go-to-market resources-and we're committed to making that happen."

Datadobi said enterprises face increasing pressure to understand and control unstructured data as they deploy AI tools and tighten data governance. The company said it sees demand for partners that can architect and operate solutions in hybrid environments that span on-premises infrastructure and cloud services.

Datadobi is headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, with subsidiaries in New York, Melbourne, Düsseldorf and London. The company said the alliances expansion will continue as it recruits and develops service partners in multiple regions.
