Gallagher Security has released Command Centre v9.50 with full integration of AccessNow. The update is now available to organisations using the security management platform.
The new version focuses on automating access and credential requests, which many organisations still manage through email and manual approvals. AccessNow handles the process from request to approval and provisioning within Command Centre.
Josh Arnold, Chief Product Officer at Gallagher Security, said many businesses still rely on fragmented workflows when granting access to staff and visitors. "AccessNow transforms this experience by enabling users to submit requests from any device, automatically routing approvals to the right people, and provisioning access directly within Command Centre once approved," Arnold said.
He said the system is built around configurable workflows for different request types. "At its core, AccessNow removes friction by enabling configurable workflows. Security teams can define and tailor automation to handle the full range of access requests they receive," Arnold said.
The release also adds a feature called PIN Exemption, aimed at accessibility needs in areas protected by card-and-PIN controls. Organisations can exempt certain individuals from PIN entry requirements on a temporary or permanent basis while keeping broader security settings in place.
The addition reflects a broader focus on making security systems easier to use for a wider range of people. It sits alongside changes intended to reduce manual work for security teams and improve how organisations draw information from their systems.
Biometric support
Another change in v9.50 is support for the VisionPass SP Fingerscan Module. The device combines facial recognition and fingerprint scanning, allowing organisations to use either method on its own or both together, depending on operating conditions.
The update also expands how Command Centre data can be used outside the core security platform. A new reporting dataset lets organisations connect system data to third-party analytics tools including Power BI, Tableau and Excel.
This link to business intelligence software could help security teams and other departments analyse operational information alongside broader company data. In practice, it may help organisations track patterns, reporting trends and system activity through tools they already use elsewhere in the business.
Gallagher framed the release around pressure on security teams to manage growing workloads with limited resources. The changes in Command Centre v9.50 are intended to address routine administrative tasks, accessibility requirements and the need for clearer reporting from security operations.
Arnold said the latest version reflects a broader push to improve the value organisations get from security technology. "A new PIN Exemption feature is introduced, providing a flexible accessibility option. This allows organisations to exempt individuals from PIN entry requirements in card + PIN secured areas, supporting both temporary and permanent accessibility needs without compromising broader security settings," Arnold said.
He also linked the update to demands for faster decision-making and less manual administration. "Command Centre v9.50 is another step forward in the value security solutions deliver," Arnold said.
"Security teams are under increasing pressure to do more with less while managing growing complexity. This release reiterates Gallagher's commitment to automating the manual, improving accessibility for all users, and giving organisations the insights they need to make smarter decisions faster," Arnold said.
