Business analytics software provider Tableau has today announced the appointment of Nigel Mendonca as its first country manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Mendonca is tasked with ensuring customer success and driving the growth of Tableau in the ANZ region.

Mendonca's appointment comes at a time of rapid growth for Tableau in Australia and New Zealand. The company's Australia-based team has nearly doubled in the past year, including the creation of a multi-lingual Asia-Pacific technical support team based out of Sydney.

Tableau customers in the ANZ region include Silver Fern Farms, Mater Health Services, Ray White, University of Western Sydney, Sportsbet, Anomaly, Inivio, as well as many of Australia and New Zealand's largest enterprise and government organisations.

"Tableau is a game-changing company in business analytics and technology and I'm excited to join the team," says Mendonca. "I look forward to working with organisations across the ANZ region to help them see and understand their data and empower people to make better decisions."

"Australia and New Zealand's organisations are pursuing analytics initiatives to leverage data driven decisions in a fast and easy way,” says JY Pook, vice oresident for the Asia Pacific region at Tableau Software. “We are excited to expand the power of data analytics and Tableau to this region.

Pook says, "Nigel Mendonca will lead our efforts to grow the Tableau footprint in this important market with focus on customer success."

Mendonca has more than 22 years of technology expertise, having previously held senior roles at Salmat, Symantec, and Xpedite Systems/PGi.
