Kinetic IT appoints Lara Barnett as Head of Marketing for growth

Today

Kinetic IT has appointed Lara Barnett as Head of Marketing to guide the next stage of its brand and growth strategy.

Barnett brings over 15 years of business-to-business marketing experience across the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular focus on the IT services sector. Prior to joining Kinetic IT, she was with Logicalis, a global managed services provider, where she led the Australian marketing team and contributed to delivering globally recognised brand and sustainability initiatives.

In her new role, Barnett will have responsibility for Kinetic IT's national marketing operations. She is expected to work closely with senior executives to increase the visibility of the company's brand and support its strategic growth direction, with specific emphasis on strengthening partnerships both in the public and private sectors.

Michael North, Chief Executive Officer of Kinetic IT, said, "Lara's leadership and vision will help us amplify our partner collaboration, and aligns with our ambition to strengthen our position as the trusted, sovereign technology partner to Australian public sector and enterprise organisations."

Barnett commented on her appointment, saying, "I'm thrilled to be stepping into the role of leading Kinetic IT's marketing function at such a pivotal time for the business." She added, "Kinetic IT brings a distinctive value proposition deeply rooted in our Australian identity, with dedicated onshore expertise that's increasingly vital in today's technology landscape. I see great potential to amplify our business strategy through marketing, generate real business value, and create a differentiated brand that resonates with customers and partners alike."

Recently, Barnett was named Rising Star at the 2024 ARN Women in ICT Awards, reflecting her growing profile in the technology sector. She is also co-manager of Generate, described as ANZ's largest business-to-business marketing community, comprising more than 1,000 active members.

Her recent initiatives have included the launch of Chief Information Officer engagement programmes, delivery of sustainable event portfolios, and undertaking brand research projects.

Barnett will be based in Sydney and will collaborate with teams across the company's national operations. Kinetic IT employs more than 1,500 people nationwide and has a client base that includes organisations in the government, infrastructure, defence, education, law enforcement, emergency services, utilities, and transport sectors.
