Fri, 15th May 2026 (Today)
Other World Computing will showcase its Mac and PC storage, connectivity and expansion products at Computex Taipei. The line-up includes portable and shared storage, docks, software, memory and media readers.
Visitors will see demonstrations of products aimed at professional and prosumer users across creative and business workloads.
Storage products on display include the Envoy Ultra, which OWC describes as a certified 8TB Thunderbolt 5 portable SSD. Also being shown are the ThunderBlade X12 editing RAID SSD, the Express 1M2 80G portable USB4 NVMe SSD, the Guardian encrypted portable NVMe SSD, the Express 4M2 ultra-compact DIY NVMe RAID and the StudioStack stackable storage system.
Shared storage will also feature, including Jellyfish Nomad, aimed at digital imaging technicians, independent 3D and visual effects studios, and mobile editing teams, alongside Jellyfish Manager software.
The memory range covers server, datacentre, midrange, NAS RAM, notebook and PC configurations, supporting upgrades for a wide variety of laptops and desktops.
Software tools
OWC will also present several software products, including Innergize, which checks card health and lifespan, updates firmware, sanitises cards and performs pre-use checks.
Also in the line-up are SoftRAID 8 for RAID array management and MacDrive 12, which gives Windows users access to Mac disks.
In connectivity, OWC plans to show a Thunderbolt 5 Hub, a Thunderbolt 5 Dock and a Thunderbolt 5 Dual 10GbE Network Dock, designed to expand port options and network connections for desktop and mobile setups.
For PCIe expansion, OWC is bringing the Mercury Helio 5S, which adds an external PCIe slot to Thunderbolt 5-equipped laptops, compact Macs and Windows desktop systems.
Cards and readers
The memory card range on display includes Atlas Ultra SD V90 and V60 cards, Atlas Pro CFexpress 4.0 Type B cards, Atlas Ultra CFexpress 4.0 Type B cards and Atlas Pro CFexpress 4.0 Type A cards. Readers include the Atlas CFexpress 4.0 Reader and the Atlas Dual CFexpress / SD Reader.
OWC is also highlighting Strada's peer-to-peer collaboration platform, which allows video professionals to access, share and review large files stored on local drives without uploading them to the cloud.
Founded in 1988, OWC has built its business around upgrades, storage and connectivity products for Mac and PC users. It sells storage, docks, memory cards, software and accessories to customers in video and audio production, photography and broader business markets.
The latest product list underlines the company's focus on Thunderbolt 5 as a core part of its portfolio, while still supporting broader USB4, RAID, PCIe and removable media workflows. It also suggests OWC is targeting multiple layers of the market, from individual creators using portable drives and memory cards to studio teams relying on shared storage and external expansion.
The inclusion of software such as SoftRAID, Innergize and MacDrive also points to an effort to pair hardware sales with tools for system management and cross-platform access.
Chris Kooistra, Vice President of Marketing at OWC, outlined that approach in a company statement.
"COMPUTEX is where you get a clear view of where the industry is headed, and that's always been important to us. But just as important is making sure people have solutions that work right now, in the environments they're already running. At OWC, we build with both in mind," said Kooistra.
"We help professionals grow their capabilities, protect what they've already invested in, and extend those environments without disruption. Technology keeps moving, that's the reality, and the last thing anyone needs is to start over every time it does. So, at OWC we build solutions that will ensure you're ready for what's next, while ensuring you get the most out of what you already have today."
