Qual IT, the independent software quality assurance specialist, is looking to expand its footprint in the Auckland region.

The company has appointed James Ormsby, former ViFX client director, as a new Auckland-based development manager to lead the expansion.

In this role, Ormsby will be working closely with Qual IT's existing Auckland services team to identify potential opportunities and develop strategies to capitalise on these.

Ormsby joined Qual IT from ViFX in November 2015 and has spent the past few months engaging the Auckland services team and gaining an understanding and appreciation for the work the team does.

Ormsby says he will concentrate on opportunities across a number of verticals, leveraging Qual IT's large resource base with a wide range of skills covering a number of technologies.

“I've moved to Qual IT to increase our presence in the Auckland market on the back of Qual IT's proven track record of over ten years servicing Govt, SME and Large Enterprise customers across NZ”, says Ormsby.

“It is great to have someone on board of such a high calibre from the enterprise IT background,” says Greg Riach, Qual IT national sales and marketing manager.

“James is a well-known, and very highly regarded business development professional in Auckland, and his relationship focused approach to clients fits perfectly with Qual IT,” he says.
