Spotto launches AI cloud platform to boost Azure efficiency for MSPs

Fri, 28th Nov 2025

Spotto has launched its AI-driven cloud optimisation platform into general availability, targeting managed service providers (MSPs) and enterprise customers operating in Microsoft Azure environments. The platform, which has moved from beta testing to commercial release, is designed to help MSPs and corporate IT teams maximise efficiency, profitability, and operational control within cloud estates.

Continuous scanning

The Spotto platform conducts multiple daily scans of each connected Azure tenant. It analyses environments for opportunities to improve security, performance, cost, and reliability. Each set of findings is automatically turned into actionable tickets within the MSP's chosen professional services automation (PSA) tool, such as Halo, Jira, or ConnectWise. This integration aims to provide engineers with ready-to-execute tasks, streamlining workflow processes.

According to the company, this capability allows MSPs to identify a steady flow of remediation tasks that can be delivered by existing engineering teams, including junior staff. The guidance provided by Spotto offers enough context for these employees to execute tasks efficiently, supporting higher utilisation rates and service quality.

"For MSPs, Spotto functions as a profitability engine," said Shaun Webber, Co-Founder and CEO, Spotto. "The platform uncovers a stream of small, high-margin remediation tasks that can be delivered by existing engineering staff. It's a way for MSPs to grow services revenue and improve margins without increasing headcount."

AI-powered recommendations

One-third of all optimisation recommendations generated by Spotto originate from the company's proprietary AI models, not from Azure Advisor. These insights are based on more than a decade of experience in managing large-scale, mission-critical cloud environments. Spotto claims that its platform surfaces risk and optimisation recommendations not previously visible to customers using Azure's native tools.

Each recommendation includes detailed reasoning, business impact analysis, risks, alternatives, and supporting context. This depth of information is intended to assist engineers in quickly understanding and acting on optimisation opportunities. Feedback from early adopters suggests the platform enhances visibility and provides actionable insights that support more informed decision-making.

Unified insights

For large-scale Azure customers, Spotto offers a consolidated dashboard that aggregates performance, security, reliability, and cost-related insights. Traditionally, these signals are dispersed across different Azure portals, creating challenges for IT teams managing complex estates. By bringing these metrics into one interface, Spotto aims to reduce investigation time and improve the governance of cloud resources.

"Enterprises tell us that Azure gives them the raw signals, but not the context or consolidation needed to act at scale," said Webber. "Spotto fills that gap by analysing the environment continuously and presenting engineers with actionable, prioritised guidance in one place."

Product development

The platform launches with an established set of features but remains under active development. Planned enhancements include deeper automation, improved forecasting, more sophisticated anomaly detection, and further integrations with PSA tools. Spotto is positioning itself as a central platform for MSPs and enterprises looking to optimise and automate their Azure operations.

"We've proven the core value in beta and we're now ready for broader adoption," said Webber.
