StorageCraft claims to be disrupting storage silos

StorageCraft has announced strong momentum with both channel partners and customers alike getting on-board with the company.

StorageCraft president Douglas Brockett says the company’s mission is to protect all data within data centres and ensure its constant availability, and that the healthy uptake is being driven by their approach to seamless and integrated data management, protection, and recovery.

"For too long, legacy big-iron vendors have encouraged IT buyers to think about their data and storage infrastructure in silos. This has created multi-billion dollar protected markets that don't put the customer first and do very little to help as they become overwhelmed by data growth and the need to ensure its constant availability," says Brockett.

"Those days are numbered. The market is now turning to vendors that are innovating by collapsing and unifying the entire storage management and protection stack into a single, integrated, self-protecting data infrastructure. This approach breaks down the barriers between primary, secondary and cloud storage and paves the way for a solution that is efficient, cost-effective and an order of magnitude easier to use. Our business momentum bears out this shift in market sentiment."

The company managed to increase the number of servers protected by StorageCraft Cloud Services by more than 100 percent year-on-year, while repeat purchases from existing customers contributing significantly to the company’s revenues after more than 45 percent of StorageCraft OneBlox customers expanding their deployments to scale out their storage infrastructure from terabytes (TBs) to Petabytes (PBs) without disrupting their business.

Within the channel, the aforementioned StorageCraft OneBlox has undergone a 400 percent increase in distribution sales year-on-year, something the company attributes to its sales team and channel partners that are able to satisfy pent-up demand for scale-out storage.

StorageCraft product management and marketing vice president Shridar Subramanian says they expect to accelerate these growth indicators over the coming quarters, continuing the company’s vision of disrupting storage silos.
