Vertiv chooses CSL as supplier of UPS products in NZ
Vertiv has appointed Cuthbert Stewart as its New Zealand distributor for Vertiv Liebert Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) for the local wholesale electrical, industrial, and utilities sectors.
Cuthbert Steward Limited (CSL) will distribute Vertiv's full range of single-phase UPS products including Liebert PSA5, an economical, environmentally-friendly line-interactive UPS that offers full-featured power protection for small office computers and electronic equipment, and the Liebert ITA2 rugged UPS which is moisture and dust resistant.
According to CSL chief executive officer Philip Elliott, the moisture and dust resistant features are suited for New Zealand's weather conditions.
"Vertiv offers a complete range of reliable, rugged UPS systems that are ideally suited to our industrial market and conditions," said Elliott.
"It is a world-class offering backed up by people who understand our market and offer expert, local support. We are looking forward to bringing together Vertiv and our network of channel partners servicing the industrial market.
Vertiv Australia and New Zealand managing director Roberd Linsdell says that the partnership will extend the company's reach into key markets.
"While we have a strong presence in the information and communications technology (ICT) market in New Zealand, our partnership with CSL will drive expansion into the industrial and utilities markets," he explains.
"We have already seen the value of energy audits in the corporate space and CSL's ability to now offer that type of service to industrial customers, backed up by the solutions to deliver efficient, reliable power, is significant from both an environmental impact and a business continuity standpoint.
CSL is based in Auckland. It acquired Energy Solution Providers earlier this year and together the companies now offer energy audits as well as technical electrical product solutions to help industrial companies and facilities minimise and protect their energy usage.
Vertiv, a global company, changed its name from Emerson Network Power in 2016. At the same time, new CEO Rob Johnson took charge of the company.
In February 2018, the company announced that its leadership team continued to evaluate all aspects of the business, including Vertiv's portfolio of products and services, the markets it serves, and its global footprint and operations.
"In our first year as Vertiv, we have strengthened and streamlined our internal systems and processes, eliminated waste, and sharpened our focus on our customers," said Johnson at the time.
"We will build on our progress by investing in employee development and bold, innovative additions to our portfolio, all with an eye toward the ever-changing needs of our customers."
