Attachmate establishes office in NZ

Attachmate has recently set up shop in New Zealand with a new office in Auckland to be headed by former F5 country manager, Martin Mooney.  Boris Ivancic, regional director, Asia Pacific, for Attachmate, stated that New Zealand had begun to require a more hands–on approach.

A growing customer base made it impractical for Attachmate to continue servicing New Zealand from Australia.

"Martin is a very experienced IT professional, and he really understands the New Zealand market, which is critical to us," said Ivancic.

"Part of Martin's charter is to identify new partners and build strong relationships.

Martin will be responsible for introducing NetIQ's security and network management solutions to existing Attachmate customers and businesses across the region.

According to Ivancic, Attachmate currently has seven of the 10 largest enterprise customers in the region, and the company is keen to strengthen local relationships with these companies while maintaining steady expansion into New Zealand.  Attachmate is actively recruiting for technical resources in New Zealand, and plans to provide local technical expertise.
