FYI, this story is more than a year old

Australian distributor Madison Technologies has launched itself into the Kiwi market, opening a local office and warehouse in Auckland.

The distributor, which specialises in cabling, connectivity, broadcast and audio visual technologies, has appointed Paul O'Neill-Gregory as New Zealand country manager, responsible for sales, customer services and branch operations.

David Redfern, Madison Technologies managing director, says the distributor has been working with New Zealand companies for many years.

“With so many new and exciting opportunities, it was time Madison Technologies ventured across the Tasman and invested locally in the market here,” Redfern says.

He says O'Neill-Gregory has an extensive background in the electronic, data, broadcast, RF and audio industries.

O'Neill-Gregory, says the opening of the office and warehouse enables Madison Technologies to further meet the growing demands of electrical, data and security wholesalers and audio visual integrators, dealers and consultants to access international brands service and support locally.

“As the new kids on the block in New Zealand we need to ensure that we not only meet, but exceed the expectations of the industry,” O'Neill-Gregory says.

“I have witnessed the fast paced changes in technology and I'm ready to help our customers to face those challenges ahead,” he adds.

Madison Technologies Australian portfolio is home to more than 50 vendors, including 3M, Aten, Bittree, Cybertec, Garland Cables, Huawei, Mobotix, mySCADA and Visionary Solutions.

The company recently signed a distribution deal with global cabling giant Belden, to distribute broadcast and professional audio visual solutions in New Zealand.

Madison says cabling and connectivity vendor Garland Cables will also add ‘healthy competition' to the local market.

The distributor says the New Zealand business will be home to a range of international brands, technologies and applications designed to strategically position Madison Technologies to provide its dealers and wholesalers with the technologies and solutions to grow their businesses.
