Security software vendor AVG has created a new role to promote the induction and up-skilling of its ANZ reseller network.

Liz Cole, seven-year AVG employee and former Technical Support team leader, says in her new position as training and business product specialist she will be primarily responsible for running new resellers through the company’s ‘on-boarding’ induction programme.

"As new resellers or staff members come on board, they are immediately able to get full value from the relationship with AVG,” Cole says.

She will also be developing and disseminating the selling tools and training information for the new 2012 SMB product range, as well as conducting webinars and keeping the reseller portal up to date.

Sam Hendry, general manager of AVG ANZ, says the company is continually seeking new ways to provide extra value to its resellers.

"This is reflected in the high satisfaction ratings they give us on our local support,” Hendry says.

"This is a key point of difference for us.”
