FYI, this story is more than a year old

CrowdStrike has brought in industry veteran Matthew Polly as its new vice president of Worldwide Business Development, Alliances and Channels.

The cybersecurity company says this strategic hire reaffirms its commitment to the partner community on the heels of rapid global expansion and growth.

Before making the move to CrowdStrike, Polly held a similar role at AppDynamics as vice president of Worldwide Alliances and Business Development where he reportedly grew the organisation's division from the ground up, leading to Cisco's acquisition of the business for $3.7 billion.

Prior to AppDynamics, Polly held various senior sales positions at Informatica where he built a technology industry vertical sales team and helped exponentially grow sales.

“Matthew's extensive and proven track record for generating global partnerships in support of aggressive sales goals will be a critical asset for our Elevate Partner Program and worldwide business development efforts,” says Mike Carpenter, president of Global Sales and Field Operations at CrowdStrike.

“I couldn't be more pleased to welcome him to the CrowdStrike team as we continue to meet massive global demand for the CrowdStrike Falcon platform.

According to CrowdStrike, since its launch the Elevate Partner program has surged to more than 180 elite partners and expanded to APAC, EMEA and Latin America.

Polly will play a large role in continuing the growth of CrowdStrike's burgeoning partner program, something that he is looking forward to in addition to driving impactful initiatives to support and enable the partner ecosystem.

“In my more than 20 years in this industry, I've never seen a more comprehensive, strategic, and innovative technology to stop breaches and help organizations defend against the onslaught of threats at the endpoint,” Polly says.

“CrowdStrike is the clear leader in the endpoint protection space and I am thrilled to be a part of the team.

There certainly seems to be a lot going on within the company as it extends its reach around the world, including the launch of CrowdStrike's first Partner Advisory Board later this year that is intended to strategically enhance CrowdStrike and its partners' joint go-to market efforts to ‘ensure frictionless adoption and integration of CrowdStrike's solutions across the enterprise.'

Furthermore, the company has also appointed Curt Aubley as vice president of Global Government Solutions and Technial Alliances to drive strategic partnerships in the government marketplace.
