DTEX Systems bolsters insider risk management with Mandiant partnership

Tue, 9th Apr 2024

DTEX Systems, an insider risk management operator, has taken significant steps to boost the industry's global insider risk management capabilities by announcing a new partnership with Mandiant, a Google Cloud part. A specialist in providing professional services and expertise to help businesses mitigate threats and lessen business risk, Mandiant will join DTEX Systems Global Partner Program in this new alliance.

With the recent announcement that Alphabet's CapitalG is leading a Series E investment round worth USD $50 million in DTEX, the Mandiant partnership bolsters DTEX Systems' position in the sector. This high-value partnership will allow DTEX's new partner, Mandiant, to leverage the power of the DTEX InTERCEPT platform for its global insider risk consulting.

This collaboration enables Mandiant to draw from DTEX's data science expertise, backed by two decades of experience in securing commercial and government entities from data loss in the most stringent and regulation-heavy environments. Melissa K. Smith, Head of Strategy and Technology Partnerships at Mandiant, shared, "DTEX Systems addresses one of the top concerns for security executives today."

Smith went on to explain the challenges faced by contemporary security teams. "As the volume and speed of security data generated by organisations continues to grow at an unprecedented rate, we find ourselves with increasing difficulty in isolating suspicious behaviours and insider threats. Through this partnership, we aim to achieve a deeper understanding of insider behaviours and trends, thereby enhancing cyber defences and counteracting potential risks," Smith added.

The DTEX Global Partner Program aims to maximise a client's existing cybersecurity investment by being it's an integrative tool. It provides an enhancement to partners, allowing them to connect the DTEX use of InTERCEPT and PULSE platforms effectively with existing security architecture and tools. It brings customers much closer to their portfolio of high-grade consulting services.

Marshall Heilman, CCO of DTEX Systems, shared his insight about this partnership. "With nation-state actors increasingly exploiting trusted insiders, especially in the defense and critical infrastructure sectors, our collaboration with Mandiant offers a major advance. It helps these essential sectors evolve their insider risk programs at the pace and maturity they need to stay ahead of internal adversaries."

Heilman continued, "We couldn't be more excited to align ourselves with Google Cloud and Mandiant. This partnership will certainly speed up our shared mission of protecting global enterprise and federal entities' data, people, success, and reputations."

The DTEX InTERCEPT platform represents the next level of insider risk mitigation, combining User Activity Monitoring, User Behaviour Analytics and Data Loss Prevention. It pulls from a variety of sensors to present unique potential risk indicators and prevent insider risks from culminating in data breaches with embedded privacy considerations.
