Dynatrace integrates with AWS for seamless cloud migration
Dynatrace has announced that its observability platform is now integrated with AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), marking the company as the first AWS partner to achieve native integration.
AWS Application Migration Service is designed to help organisations move their applications and infrastructures seamlessly and securely to the AWS Cloud, while ensuring continued operational stability.
With this new integration, organisations can automatically install and deploy Dynatrace from the outset of their AWS Cloud journey, providing immediate access to comprehensive observability capabilities. This integration aims to help organisations transition with confidence while ensuring optimal end-user experiences.
Jevin Jensen, Research Vice President of Intelligent CloudOps Markets at IDC, commented on the significance of this move. "To scale new and existing applications while controlling costs, enterprises are continuing to migrate additional workloads to the cloud. This migration holds the promise of delivering improved business outcomes, but the process itself can be challenging."
"IT leaders need to consider a comprehensive solution that integrates their observability platform with their public cloud provider. Only then can enterprises gain full insight into their current on-premises workloads and ensure seamless, efficient, and secure application performance during and after cloud migration," said Jensen.
The integration of Dynatrace with AWS MGN allows organisations to leverage the Dynatrace platform for several functionalities, including optimising performance, managing costs, understanding user experiences, and addressing compliance and security needs. Dynatrace helps maintain high performance and availability by continuously monitoring applications and automatically addressing potential issues before they escalate.
The platform provides insights into resource usage, which enables teams to adjust and reduce costs effectively. Detailed user interaction insights aim to improve user experience, leading to higher satisfaction and retention rates. Moreover, Dynatrace offers detailed logs and performance metrics that assist teams in meeting regulatory requirements and detecting unusual activities.
Jay Snyder, Senior Vice President of Global Partner and Alliances at Dynatrace, expressed enthusiasm about the development. "We're thrilled to be the first AWS partner to be integrated with AWS Application Migration Service."
"This integration will serve to help our joint global customers accelerate their cloud migration and modernisation efforts at speed and scale, an effort that requires complete visibility into application performance. With actionable, contextualised insights and advanced AI and automation at their fingertips, Dynatrace users can navigate their digital transformation with greater confidence about the stability and security of their environment," said Snyder.
The Dynatrace integration with AWS Application Migration Service is now generally available.
