EMC honours 'outstanding' ANZ partners

18 Mar 2016

Dimension Data, Ingram Micro, Data#3 and Datacom New Zealand were among the big winners at last night’s 2015 EMC Business Partner Program Awards where partners from across Australia and New Zealand were recognised for their achievements.

Dimension Data Australia was a double winner, taking home both the ANZ Partner of the Year award and the ANZ Alliance Partner Outstanding Achievement Award, while Ingram Micro Australia was named ANZ Distributor of the Year.

Data#3 scooped up the Outstanding Achievement Award for Australian Solution Provider Partner, with Datacom New Zealand taking out the New Zealand equivalent.

The awards, which come in the midst of EMC's US$67 billion merger with Dell, were presented at an intimate event in Sydney where David Webster, EMC Asia Pacific and Japan president, and other EMC executives from across the region, paid tribute to Australian and New Zealand partners.

“These awards recognise the outstanding performance of our partners in Australia and New Zealand,” Webster says.

He says it is exciting to see the innovative projects and solutions the partners have implemented for customers in the past year.

“On behalf of EMC, I want to thank our network of partners for a great 2015 and we’re looking forward to continuing to work together to transform and grow our mutual businesses this year,” Webster says.

Telstra was won the Outstanding Achievement Award for Cloud Service Provider Partner ANZ, while Cirrus/L7 Solutions took out the Outstanding Achievement Award in conjunction with Avnet Technology Solutions Australia.

Perfekt won the Outstanding Achievement Award in conjunction with Ingram Micro Australia, while Sempre Technologies won the Outstanding Achievement Award in conjunction with Ingram Micro New Zealand.

Webster says as all flash arrays become a mainstream technology ‘we will see disruption of the data centre as we know it.

“In 2016, EMC and its partners will continue to help customers to modernise, automate and transform their data centres to enable future growth.

“We will continue to work together to ensure our joint customers are the disrupters, not the disrupted,” he says.
