emt Distribution adds risk intelligence vendor

24 Apr 2019

New York-based Business Risk Intelligence (BRI) firm, Flashpoint, has signed cybersecurity software specialist, emt Distribution as its value-added distributor for Oceania and South East Asia.

Flashpoint empowers organisations worldwide with meaningful intelligence and information that combats threats and adversaries.

Finished intelligence provided by Flashpoint helps organisations combat cyber threats such as newly evolving malware, zero-day exploits and hactivism as well as understanding risks to corporate and physical security, damage through fraud and even insider threats.

“The addition of Flashpoint to our portfolio adds another very important layer of surgical intelligence needed by cyber threat intelligence teams,” emt Distribution CMO Scott Hagenus says.

“It helps them uncover possible data breaches or imminent threats to their organisations you would normally not be able to uncover through conventional means. The access to illicit online communities that Flashpoint provides is critical for teams to safely access actionable intelligence with the goal of reducing overall business risk. Key use cases that we see greatly benefiting the region are bolstering cybersecurity, combating insider threats, confronting fraud, and addressing supply chain risk, to name a few.”

Channel partners in Oceania and South East Asia can now offer this valuable intel to their customers, leveraging emt Distribution’s resources to assist with everything from discovery meetings to demonstrations, pre-sales engineering and implementation assistance.

“With emt building out its portfolio of solutions that fall within Cyber Threat Management, we are adding a level of cyber sophistication many channel partners have not had access to in the past,” adds Hagenus.

“This is excellent for businesses and governments who are taking their cyber strategies to new maturity levels and need partners to help them get there. And it’s much needed in today’s threat landscape.”

Flashpoint global sales and solutions architecture SVP Brian Costello adds, “emt Distribution has long been at the leading edge of providing cybersecurity solutions to Australia’s private and public sector. Flashpoint is excited and optimistic about this new partnership, and helping emt further grow its portfolio to address the growing threat of illicit threat actor communities online.”
