'Exceptional' NZ growth for Veeam
Veeam Software has clocked a 35% increase in total revenue bookings in New Zealand for 2014 – slightly lower than the 40% seen for the company globally – but still dubbed 'exceptional' by the company.
Globally the company racked up total bookings revenue of $389 million. Local figures were not disclosed.
New license bookings revenue was up 37%, year-on-year, in New Zealand, with a 14% increase in net new customers. At the end of Q3, the company said it had 'more than 829 customers' in New Zealand.
Veeam has also bulked up the number of ProPartners locally, increasing by 40% to 264 and added Westcon Group as a new VCP I aggregator in New Zealand, during the year.
Charles Clarke, Veeam Software APAC technical director, says the 'exceptional' growth seen in New Zealand shows the vendor is on track to realising its goal of becoming a billion dollar business by 2018.
The company has now recorded 28 consecutive quarters in which total bookings revenue has experienced double-digit sequential growth, locally and globally.
APAC-wide, Veeam's business grew 45% in total revenue bookings, while new license bookings revenue grew 39% and net new customers were up 25%.
Veeam says the results – which are a slow down from 2013's record of 58% bookings revenue growth globally year-on-year – were fuelled by the release of the Veeam Availability Suite v8.
"We are greatly encouraged by our results for 2015 and remain committed to begin the provider of choice for businesses that seek to meet the demand of availability for the modern data center," says Clarke.
Meanwhile, Veeam chief executive Ratmir Timashev, says the company's success in 2014 'clearly illustrates that we are delivering innovative availability solutions that solve real-life business challenges'.
"Our release of Veeam Availability Suite v8 was even more successful than we had anticipated, with more than a third of our customers upgrading within the first 60 days.
"It's a testament to the strong demand for solutions that can deliver data center availability. With close to eight million virtual machines worldwide ensured by Veeam availability solutions, we are transforming the modern data center by bringing together virtualisation, cloud and storage technologies, and our continued growth illustrates the success of our vision and execution.
"2014 was a great year, and we fully expect our momentum to continue, carrying us toward our goal of $1 billion in annual revenue by 2018.
