FYI, this story is more than a year old

Extreme Networks has appointed Stefan Compagnoni to the role of Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) channel manager, taking over from Julian Critchlow, who was promoted to ANZ general manager last year.

The distributor has also added three new Diamond level partners.

Compagnoni joins Extreme from distributor Arrow ECS ANZ where he was a vendor relations leader.

The channel management role is primarily to help partners improve their sales and services opportunities by building incremental business with Extreme's technology solutions and services in the AN/Z region.

Compagnoni will be working collaboratively with Extreme's partner community on the development and execution of their strategic plans, technology enablement and certification programmes, sales and marketing activities, as well as supporting partners on key accounts, sales opportunities and contract negotiations.

Prior to Arrow ECS, Compagnoni worked in a variety of marketing roles at Tennant Company, an international cleaning technology manufacturer.

Based in Sydney, he holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Macquarie University.

NetStrategy, Extreme's only Black Diamond reseller in ANZ, is the first partner in the region to have three systems engineers achieve gain three qualifying technical certifications, attaining 'Purple Belts' through the ExtremeDojo training programme.

"Extreme is a 100% channel-focused business and we continually invest in our partners and our capability to support them," says Critchlow.

"Stefan brings strong distribution and channel experience to his new role as our channel manager, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the networking space. He will be working closely with our key partners in ANZ, including our three new Diamond Partners.

The three new Diamond partners are CompNow, Communication Network Applications (CCNA), and Intuit Technologies.

Extreme's partner programme is based on a driving partner and company growth while strengthening its go-to-market initiatives in new and existing verticals.

Diamond Partner is Extreme's highest partnership level, awarded to partners who have reached specific milestones in annual revenues, and technical and sales certifications, and Master Specialisation in at least one technology solution area.

Diamond status gives Extreme partners additional rebates for sales growth, new accounts and solutions, extra MDF (marketing development funds), and sales and marketing priority and support.

"Congratulations to the teams from CCNA, CompNow and Intuit Technologies on achieving the highest level in our partner programme and congratulations also to NetStrategy, who has now achieved the highest Extreme technical qualifications in the region, " Critchlow adds.
