Findex expands reach with acquisition of FiveP's MBA practice
Thu, 29th Feb 2024

Findex, one of Australasia's privately owned financial advisories, has revealed its first digital purchase by acquiring the Microsoft Business Applications (MBA) practice from highly respected digital products and services company FiveP. The acquisition is expected to greatly widen the reach of Findex's digital consulting capabilities, equipping the firm to offer financial advice and solutions within a fully platform-based ecosystem.

The move is indicative of the swell in demand for Microsoft Dynamic solutions within Australasia. By integrating the 'copilot' into the dynamics suite, it will be able to leverage Gen AI to transform data into modern workplace tools and products, considered radical until two years ago.

Findex has claimed this acquisition is a significant expansion in its digital consulting reach. It flags a strategic enrichment of its digital delivery capabilities, including Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Business Central and Power Platform services, all complementing the existing Digital Advisory and Data Science offerings. This will subsequently extend the value given to their clients.

The new-aligned digital capabilities and enhanced service delivery across Australian and New Zealand markets are predicted to produce substantial benefits for Findex's small-to-medium-sized business clients. This is especially important under the leadership guidance of Managing Partner Digital Consulting, Kon Kokkinos.

Judging by the statement by Findex's Chief Operations Officer Julian Maloney, the excitement is palpable: "We are thrilled to have acquired this leading MBA practice from FiveP, which is a key milestone in the delivery of our strategic plan, enhancing the end-to-end digital services offering and value for our existing portfolio of clients." Maloney continues, "those are especially in the mid-market both in metropolitan and regional areas across Australia and New Zealand."

This first-time acquisition is very significant for the company as this will complete an end-to-end lifecycle of service offerings for their clients. Now, they can deliver advice and solutions in a complete platform-based ecosystem covering the entire Findex footprint.

The news is equally thrilling for local customers, according to Vanessa Sorenson, Partner Director for Microsoft ANZ. "This acquisition by Findex highlights the high level of demand we’re seeing in Microsoft Dynamics solutions. Businesses are realising that they're sitting on an enormously valuable and underutilised resource – their data. With Copilot added to the Dynamics suite, we can now harness the power of generative AI to transform the data into modern workplace tools and products we could not have envisaged two years ago".

She added, "Having a champion like Findex to help businesses unlock this immense value across Australasia is crucial for boosting our countries productivity and growth, and we're excited to support Findex in this new chapter."

Over the next two years, this expansion is set to double the size of Findex's Digital Consulting business and further strengthen its market share across Australia and New Zealand. The bottom line is also set to gain due to the resultant cost efficiencies.
