GlobalLogic named industry leader in ISG engineering report 2024

GlobalLogic, a subsidiary of the Hitachi Group, has been named a market leader in the ISG Provider Lens Digital Engineering Services Report for 2024, published by the Information Services Group (ISG). The report assesses the offerings of 41 providers in areas such as design and development, customer and user engagement, platform and application services, and intelligent operations.

The digital engineering market has witnessed a notable shift driven by advancements in generative AI, agile business methodologies, and the integration of IT with operational technology (OT). Contributions from GlobalLogic's extensive engineering expertise, combined with Hitachi’s legacy OT offerings, have placed the company at the forefront of this evolving landscape.

ISG’s findings indicate that enterprises are cautiously and selectively adopting generative AI for digital engineering projects. GlobalLogic stands out with 75 projects either completed or in progress, showcasing its adeptness in building and integrating both publicly available and custom-created platforms, applications, and models. Recently, GlobalLogic introduced a unique Platform-of-Platforms architecture designed to unify and industrialise enterprise-grade AI and generative AI solutions with an emphasis on responsibility, reliability, and reusability.

In the ISG report, GlobalLogic was rated a Leader in four distinct quadrants: Design and Development, Integrated Customer/User Engagement and Experience, Platforms and Applications Services, and Intelligent Operations.

In the Design and Development quadrant, GlobalLogic’s design-led engineering approach facilitates integrated hardware/software solutions and innovative product development, spanning ideation, strategy, design, and R&D. The company leverages rapid and agile design processes, prototyping, and quality testing capabilities.

The Integrated Customer/User Engagement and Experience quadrant highlights providers that deliver customer services and product support via digital platforms. GlobalLogic uses its AI expertise to enhance customer experience, giving clients a competitive advantage.

GlobalLogic's capabilities in the Platforms and Applications Services quadrant pertain to its proficiency in digital platform engineering, business and technical design, new user experiences, and leveraging digital ecosystems, orchestration platforms, and microservice architectures.

In the Intelligent Operations quadrant, GlobalLogic’s distinguished service offerings and capabilities enable the digitisation and modernisation of manufacturing operations, making them more connected, autonomous, and capable of self-decision-making and auto-correction.

Tapati Bandopadhyay, Lead Analyst and Research Partner at ISG, remarked on GlobalLogic's strong technological partnerships which facilitate AI-powered digital product and service design. She noted GlobalLogic’s work on AI-powered solutions that enhance customer experience and digital business support through heightened responsiveness and autonomous actions, ultimately aiming for optimised and efficient business processes and supply chains.
