HP Partner Awards: And the finalists are...
A who's who of the Kiwi channel are in the running for the inaugural HP Partner of the Year Awards, with HP Inc today taking the wraps off the finalist list.
Softsource, Origin IT, Acquire, and Datacom Wellington are leading the charge, with Softsource a finalist in four categories, while Acquire, Datacom Wellington and Origin IT are finalists in three categories apiece.
In announcing the awards earlier this year, HP noted the importance of the Kiwi channel and said the awards were a way of giving back to partners and ensuring they knew their contribution was valued.
Acquire, Softsource and Datacom Wellington are all finalists for the HP Partner of the Year, with Softsource also in looking to take glory in as PC Partner of the Year, Growth Partner of the Year and Innovative Solutions Partner of the Year.
Acquire will be among the companies facing off against Softsource in the PC Partner of the Year and Innovative Solutions Partner of the Year categories.
Datacom Wellington, meanwhile is looking for glory in the Growth Partner of the Year and Print Partner of the Year categories and Origin IT is in the running for PC Partner of the Year, Growth Partner of the Year and Innovative Solutions Partner of the Year.
Exeed, Ingram Micro and Sektor will be vying for the honour of Distributor of the Year, while Dick Smith, JB Hi-Fi, Noel Leeming Group and Warehouse Stationery are gunning for top spot as Retailer of the Year.
The awards will also see the naming of HP Channel Sales Person of the Year. That category has no finalists being announced with details instead being announced at the awards ceremony later this month.
Both the Innovative Solutions Partner of the Year category – for the partner implementing the most original and innovative solution to a customer's challenge – and the HP Channel Sales Person of the Year are reseller nominated categories.
Winners will be announced at a black tie event at St Matthew-in-the-City on November 26.
