Kiwi firm Cogent wins big at Alcatel-Lucent Partner conference
Cogent has been awarded ‘Best UC Cloud Partner of the Year’ and ‘APAC New Business Model Partner of the Year 2013’ at the 2014 Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Global Executive Partner Days conference.
These awards recognised the Kiwi providers of communications and data solutions for its successful go to market across the country with the Alcatel-Lucent OpenTouch Enterprise Cloud (OTEC) as well as its as-a-service model offering based on OpenTouch for SMBs.
The organisation was also commended for being one of the fastest growing Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise partners in Asia Pacific.
Cogent has been able to take advantage of the consumption-based model of the OpenTouch solution to build and deliver unified communication as a service to New Zealand organisations.
The very competitive total cost of ownership makes it achievable for businesses to tap into the functions of OpenTouch solutions to deliver productivity, cost and efficiency benefits.
“The growing adoption of mobile devices in the office is seeing employees demand more communication and collaboration flexibility in their work environment," says Scott Funnell, Product Strategy Manager, Cogent.
"In turn, our clients no longer look for just a telephony solution, rather, they seek a full collaboration suite that helps empower their workforce to become more productive and communicate seamlessly anytime, anywhere and on any device."
Since transforming its go to market model, Cogent has seen a year on year growth of 35 per cent across its business while maintaining a momentum of new client wins as well as increasing adoption of the managed services by existing clients.
“We are proud to achieve such strong growth in what is considered a mature market," Funnell adds.
"Since taking the OpenTouch solutions to market, we have seen exceptional interest with particularly the early adopters in the media and technology industries.”
“The award is testament to our commitment and strong partnership with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise to deliver robust and commercially viable services to both our enterprise and small and medium business customers.
"We are pleased that our go to market model is taking off. We have confidence in the roadmap of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise and look forward to furthering our collaborations and partnership in the future.”
An independent and privately held New Zealand company, Cognet has a taskforce of local professionals delivering nationwide service from seven offices in the North and South Island.
